Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ScoreAnvil study app (iOS, Android, and web) and the website at scoreanvil.com. It is short, because we collect very little — and ScoreAnvil is built for students, so we are careful with it.

Who we are

ScoreAnvil is a service of Impulse Learning LLC, Miami, Florida, USA ("we," "us," "our"). This policy covers the ScoreAnvil app and the website at scoreanvil.com.

The app: your study data stays on your device

Everything you do in ScoreAnvil — practice sessions, answers, scores, and your review schedule — is saved in a database on your own device. The app works fully offline. If you never sign in, none of your study data is transmitted to us, and uninstalling the app deletes it.

Your answers are exam practice — nothing more. We do not collect sensitive information about you, and we do not build a profile of you from how you study.

If you create a sync account (optional)

The app offers an optional account so your progress can be backed up and synced across devices. If you sign in, we store:

• your email address — used to sign you in (we email a one-time code; there is no password) and for essential service messages;
• your study progress — completed sessions, per-question answers and scores, and your review schedule, linked to your account.

That is the entire list. Sync data is used only to run the sync feature — never for advertising, profiling, or sale. Access is restricted so that each account can only ever read or write its own rows.

Purchases

If you buy an upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Stripe (web checkout) or, where offered in-app, by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — each under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your card number or billing details — only a confirmation of the purchase (and, for web checkout, the email you used) so we can unlock what you paid for on your account.

If you join the waitlist (website)

When you submit the waitlist form on scoreanvil.com, we store the email address you enter, the approximate country your connection comes from (country only — not a precise location), the referring page if any, and the date and time of signup. We use it to tell you about the launch, and you can be removed at any time.

Automatically, for every website visitor

Our hosting provider processes standard technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested — to deliver the site and protect it against attacks and abuse. We do not use this to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with your waitlist entry or your account.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. The website sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, analytics, or social media pixels. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The app keeps your sign-in session on your device so you stay logged in — that token never leaves your device except to authenticate you with our sync service.

Why we use your information

Only to:

• sign you in and sync your study progress, if you created an account;
• unlock purchases you have made;
• notify you about the launch, if you joined the waitlist;
• operate, maintain, and secure the app and website;
• comply with legal obligations.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a legal basis for processing (such as the UK or EEA): ours is contract for accounts, sync, and purchases; consent for the waitlist; and our legitimate interest in operating a secure service for the technical data described above.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, and we do not disclose it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf under contract:

• Supabase (United States) — account authentication and synced study progress, including delivery of sign-in code emails.
• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — website hosting, waitlist storage, and security.
• Resend (United States) — delivery of website-related email.
• Stripe, Inc. (United States) — payment processing for web checkout, under its own policies.
• Apple and Google — payment processing for in-app purchases, where offered, under their own policies.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others. If our business is ever sold or transferred, this data may transfer with it; account holders and waitlist members will be notified by email before that happens.

Children and teens

ScoreAnvil is designed for high-school students and other test-takers who are 13 years of age or older. It is a general-audience study tool; it is not directed to, and not designed to appeal to, children under 13.

• Under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will delete it and its data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email privacy@scoreanvil.com and we will remove it promptly.
• Ages 13–17: If you are a teenager using ScoreAnvil, we hold the same small amount of data described above and give it extra protection by default. For our users who are minors we do not sell or share their personal information, do not use it for targeted advertising, and do not profile them. A parent or guardian may contact us to review or delete a minor's information.

We ask for date of birth at sign-up only to confirm eligibility, and we ask it neutrally. This approach is designed to meet the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and state laws that protect the data of minors.

How long we keep it

• On-device study data: yours, on your device, until you delete the app or its data. We never hold it.
• Account and synced data: until you delete your account — then it is deleted immediately and permanently. We do not retain minors' data longer than needed to provide the service.
• Waitlist entries: until the launch announcement has been sent and for up to 12 months afterward, or until you ask us to remove yours — whichever comes first.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → Account & sync → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and every synced session, answer, and review schedule from our servers, immediately. Study data saved on your device stays on your device.

You can also email privacy@scoreanvil.com from your account address and we will delete it for you within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access (tell you what we hold), correct, or delete your information, or withdraw consent at any time. Depending on where you live — for example California (CCPA/CPRA), other US states, or the UK/EEA (UK GDPR/GDPR) — you may have additional rights, including the right to know what is collected and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of where you live.

To make a request, email privacy@scoreanvil.com. We will respond within 30 days. Because we hold so little, we may simply need the request to come from the email address on the account or waitlist entry so we can locate it.

Security

All traffic between your device and our services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Synced data is stored on our providers' managed infrastructure with access controls that limit each account to its own data. Sign-in uses one-time emailed codes, so there is no password for anyone to steal. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

We operate in the United States, and information is stored and processed there. If you use ScoreAnvil from outside the US, your information is transferred to the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above. If the change is material — for example, if we begin collecting something new — we will notify account holders and waitlist members by email before it takes effect.
